Here's To Feeling Good All The Time
Happy Endings & Louie

Jess and I recently started watching the show Happy Endings on ABC.  I would compare it to Friends or How I Met Your Mother (in that it’s a show about a group of friends), but it noticeably doesn’t have a laugh track, which I like.  It was a mid-season replacement this past year, so the first season was only 12 episodes, but it did get renewed for a second season.  You can watch it Wednesday nights at 9:30 on ABC or check out some episodes on Hulu.

I’ve also been catching up on the second season of Louie, of which FX has already aired 5 episodes.  I enjoyed the first season, and while it may not be for everyone, I appreciate the fact that it isn’t like most TV shows.  I enjoy Louis CK’s humor and the show certainly carries on the self-loathing nature of his stand-up work.  You can watch it Thursday nights at 10:30 on FX or check out some episodes on Hulu.

SNL Digital Short - The Creep

The Digital Short on this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live featured a new song from The Lonely Island called ‘The Creep’.  The song features Nicki Minaj and I really liked her line “get your knees flexing and your arms T-Rex-ing”.

This Wednesday (December 8), AMC will start rerunning Breaking Bad from the beginning.  Each Wednesday from now until March, the channel will show two back-to-back episodes of the award-winning show after the latenight movie.  This means the start time will vary in the 12:30 to 1:30 range, making this perfect for a DVR series recording.

Breaking Bad is about a chemistry teacher (Bryan Cranston from Seinfeld and Malcolm In The Middle) who finds out he has cancer so he starts producing and selling crystal meth.  Jess and I watched the first season on DVD this past summer and it was really good.  The show is a drama, but it has plenty of humor (and some gross stuff) and while I’m sure it’s not for everyone, it’s definitely worth checking out once.

SNL - Mega-Mart Black Friday ad

This was my favorite part of this past week’s episode of SNL.

I’m not sure how I missed it, but apparently Richard Dean Anderson made an appearance as MacGyver on SNL.  I thought this was great.

Wow. Please watch this. The Daily Show on Fox News on the Ground Zero Mosque. Amazing, hilarious, and depressing.

Flight Of The Conchords - Band Meeting (from Season 2 Episode 1)

I absolutely love this scene, especially Murray’s rant: “They’re making hit after hit.  ‘Doggy Bounce’, number 1.  ‘Doggy Dance’, number 5.  ‘In The Pound’, number 37.  It’s not gonna stop!  It’s never gonna stop!  They’re a hit making machine!”

Saturday Night Live - Shake Weight DVD commercial

My girlfriend sent me this video and I thought it was so funny.

I watched Saturday Night Live this past weekend (it was a rerun with Jon Hamm hosting) and the highlight of the show for me was this impression of Snooki on Weekend Update.  Apparently (s)he had been on the show once before (you can check it out here).
