Here's To Feeling Good All The Time

mybandowen:

I’ll be opening up for Braid for a few shows throughout the US this August. Check out the dates below.

Braid/Owen Summer 2012 Tour Dates

08/07 - Cleveland Heights, OH @ Grog Shop
08/09 - New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom
08/10 - Philadelphia, PA @ Union Transfer
08/11 - Brooklyn, NY @ Music Hall of…

It might be tough, but I’m really going to try to make it to the show at the Grog Shop.  Owen and Braid on the same night would be awesome.

Owen - The Armoire (Live at Heads And Threads Boutique)

This is the fifth video in Owen’s series of videos where he plays every song from his new record ‘Ghost Town’ in and around Chicago.  Here are all the videos that have been released:

01. Too Many Moons (Live on his front porch)
02. No Place Like Home (Live on the beach)
03. O, Evelyn… (Live outside The Chicago Theatre)
04. I Believe (Live on a roof)
05. The Armoire (Live at Heads And Threads Boutique)
06. An Animal (Live at The Butcher & The Larder)

polyvinylrecords:

Mike Kinsella’s been hauling his guitar around Chicago to perform every song from the upcoming Owen album Ghost Town live at various spots in his hometown.

The video above (for “O, Evelyn”) is my personal favorite so far, if only for the chat he has with two strangers walking by about halfway through.

Head to Owen’s YouTube channel to watch the first two videos and bookmark the page so you’ll be sure to catch the rest of his performances as they are posted.

You can also check out the first two videos on Owen’s Tumblr: ‘Too Many Moons’ and ‘No Place Like Home’.

Owen @ Middlewest Fest

pv15:

Someone recorded Owen’s entire set during the performance at Middlewest Fest this past Saturday. The set features a few new songs off Ghost Town, which you can pre-order right here - http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/ghosttown - Don’t miss Owen at our 15-Year Anniversary Anniversary Party this coming Saturday 9/24!

Even though the new Owen album ‘Ghost Town’ doesn’t officially come out until November 8th, I’m already enjoying it thanks to Polyvinyl’s awesome pre-order.  Any order (CD, clear 180-gram vinyl, black 180-gram vinyl, MP3, t-shirt) receives an instant download of the entire album.  If that hasn’t totally sold you (what’s wrong with you?), then check out the song ‘I Believe’ that I posted a few weeks ago and the song ‘No Place Like Home’ that Alternative Press is currently streaming.
