A week ago, Jess and I went to the Warhol Museum to see the new exhibit on Alex Ross, called ‘Heroes & Villains: The Comic Book Art of Alex Ross’. I’ve been an Alex Ross fan for years (having read Kingdom Come, Marvels, Uncle Sam, and other stuff) so I recognized quite a bit of the art on display, but the entire exhibit was interesting. I found Alex’s childhood art, his mother’s art, and the new piece he did of Andy Warhol to be particularly cool. The exhibit opened at the beginning of October and it is showing through January 8, 2012, so if you have a chance to check it out, I would highly recommend it.
